Costs

Costs to join Pack 55 are composed of:

  1. The BSA national membership fees, which are paid directly to Scouting BSA when you register on their website. The national membership fee is $80, plus a $25 one-time joining fee for new members.

    • BSA has modified their registration process starting in August 2023. New Scouts will register and pay the BSA national membership fee and one-time joining fee when they join. Returning Scouts will also pay their BSA national membership fee online, but will do so in October and November. BSA will send reminder emails to returning Scouts’ families and Pack leadership starting in October.

  2. The Activity Fee, which is paid to Pack 55 and pays for Pack 55’s activities.  For 2023-2024, the Activity Fee is $150.  The Activity fee can be offset or eliminated by popcorn fundraiser sales.  $430 of popcorn sales fully eliminates the Activity Fee.

  3. The Cub Scout uniform may be purchased from the Scout Shop, located within the Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center at 12500 North IH 35, Austin, Texas, 78753, or online.
